ABOUT NENA BAILEY
GOALS
Nena has been an advocate for the homeless community for more than 30 years. Volunteering regularly by giving of her time and resources to ensure a better life for those in need. There is definitely a disconnect between our county government and those in the homeless community. She will work diligently to bring common sense solutions to the current Allen County Jail debate. Nena will work across party lines to help establish an annual budget that works best for county government and the citizens of Allen County. Her goal is to work with the Board of Commissioners to move the county in a bipartisan matter that will serve the needs of all 8 municipalities. She will work to adjust the tax rates for county purposes and impose a fair tax Levy. Nena will work to appropriate additional funds that may arise after the budget has been established.
ABOUT NENA
She is a South Side High School graduate and attended International Business College in Fort Wayne. Nena has been a real estate broker for 31 years and has owned and managed her own small real estate brokerage firm for the past 25 years. She serves as a member for the Safe Housing and Building Oversight Committee for the City of Fort Wayne which she was appointed by Mayor Tom Henry. Nena is also a board member for the Indiana Black Expo Fort Wayne Chapter and is a Guild Member for the Fort Wayne Urban League. She is a volunteer and advocate for the Rescue Mission where lives are changed, and souls are saved. Her goal as a public servant is to work on behalf of all of the citizens of Allen County. Nena is also a believer with strong Christian values. She is looking forward to serving, not for popularity but to be the voice for her constituents. Always listening too, learning and observing the needs of the people to which she will serve.
